HUBBLE'DAN JÜPİTER VE KÜÇÜLEN BÜYÜK KIRMIZI LEKE Jüpiter’in Büyük Kırmızı Lekesi’ne ne olacak? Gaz devi Jüpiter, Dünya’nın yaklaşık 320 katı kütlesiyle Güneş Sistemi’nin en büyük gezegeni. Jüpiter bilinen en büyük ve en uzun süreli fırtına sistemlerinden birisine, solda görülebilen Büyük Kırmızı Leke’ye (GRS) ev sahipliği yapıyor. GRS bir süredir küçülüyor olsa da hala o kadar büyük ki Dünya’yı bir bütün olarak yutabilir. Tarihi kayıtlarla yapılan karşılaştırmalar, fırtınanın 150 yıl önceki halinin yalnızca üçte biri kadar yüzey alanı kapladığını gösteriyor. NASA’nın OPAL programı son zamanlarda fırtınayı Hubble Uzay Teleskobu’nu kullanarak izliyor. Kırmızı tonları oldukça canlı gösterecek şekilde işlenen bu Hubble OPAL görüntüsü, Jüpiter’i 2016’da görüldüğü şekliyle gösteriyor. Çağdaş GRS verileri fırtınanın yüzey alanının sıkışmaya devam ettiğini, ama aynı zamanda dikey olarak da biraz daha kısalmaya başladığını gösteriyor. Orion Nebula - I finally got it! This is something I've wanted to try and shoot for a long time. I took this out near the Anza Borrego Desert, so I would have great dark skies to work with. If you magnified at night, you can actually make out the Orion Nebula on the back of the camera! However this capture only came after a couple failed attempts. My tracker slipped the first time and the second time my timelapse app didn't work right. I wasn't sure if things were going to work out on my third attempt, so it was tough to hop in the car to drive a few hours to dark skies. I eventually came home with enough images to give putting it together a go. The edit came from a bunch of experimenting and a few times where I started things all over. I know there's no shortage of insanely beautiful and detailed images of the Orion Nebula, but it was a lot of fun to try for myself. I'm not quite ready to jump in to deep space imaging, or what was astrophotography before that term became a bit more generalized, but I'd like to think I'll get there one day. Hope you enjoy it! اروپا با ماهواره ای جدید زمین را رصد می کند سازمان فضایی اروپا ماهواره جدیدی برای رصد دریاها، خشکی و هوای زمین به فضا فرستاد. به گزارش خبرگزاری مهر به نقل از اسپیس، Sentinel-۳B همراه یک موشک Rockot از مقر فضایی Plesetsk Cosmodrome روسیه در شمال مسکو به آسمان رفت. اگر همه چیز طبق برنامه پیش برود، این ماهواره ۱۱۵۰ کیلوگرمی درارتفاع ۸۱۵ کیلومتری زمین قرار می گیرد. این ماهواره هم مانند Sentinel-۳A (نسخه قبلی ماهواره که ۲۰۱۶ به آسمان فرستاده شد) با کمک ابزارهای مختلف دریاها، خشکی و هوای زمین را رصد می کند تاروند تغییرات کره خاکی را مشخص کند.  هر دو ماهواره Sentinel-۳ طوری طراحی شده اند تا ۷ سال کار کنند و سوخت ۱۲ سال را همراه دارند. مهر #astronomy #astrophotography #Rocket #satellite #photography #skypixphoto #اروپا #ماهواره

The Pipe Nebula . ”I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” . East of Antares, dark markings sprawl through crowded star fields toward the center of our Milky Way Galaxy. Cataloged in the early 20th century by astronomer E. E. Barnard, the obscuring interstellar dust clouds include B59, B72, B77 and B78, seen in silhouette against the starry background. Here, their combined shape suggests a pipe stem and bowl, and so the dark nebula's popular name is the Pipe Nebula. The deep and expansive view was represents nearly 24 hours of exposure time recorded in very dark skies of the Chilean Atacama desert. It covers a full 10 by 10 degree field in the pronounceable constellation Ophiuchus. The Pipe Nebula is part of the Ophiuchus dark cloud complex located at a distance of about 450 light-years. What will become of these galaxies?Spiral galaxies NGC 5426 and NGC 5427 are passing dangerously close to each other, but each is likely to survive this collision. Typically when galaxies collide, a large galaxy eats a much smaller galaxy. In this case, however, the two galaxies are quite similar, each being a sprawling spiral with expansive arms and a compact core. As the galaxies advance over the next tens of millions of years, their component stars are unlikely to collide, although new stars will form in the bunching of gas caused by gravitational tides. Close inspection of the above image taken by the 8-meter Gemini-South Telescope in Chile shows abridge of material momentarily connecting the two giants. Known collectively as Arp 271, the interacting pair spans about 130,000 light years and lies about 90 million light-years away toward the constellation of Virgo. Recent predictions hold that our Milky Way Galaxy will undergo a similar collision with the neighboring Andromeda Galaxy in a few billion years. The Elephant Trunk nebula is a concentration of dust and gas that lies in constellation Cepheus. It is part of a larger nebula, IC1396. The elongated dark globule is part of a region of star formation that lies 2,450 light-years away from earth. It consists of dense gas that is being compressed by the intense radiation from a nearby massive star which lies outside of this image. The compression of the gas in the globule is triggering the formation of stars within it, with some stars as young as 100,000 years old. A Takahashi TOA-150 telescope was used along with an SBIG STT-8300 camera. Exposure time was a total of 21 hours acquired though narrowband filters that captures light from ionized hydrogen, oxygen and sulfur gases. www.MillerAstroPix.com

M101 is a face-on galaxy distanced 21 million light-years away from earth in the constellation Ursa Major. As one of the more famous objects in the Messier Catalog, it is commonly known as the Pinwheel Galaxy. M101 is a large galaxy comparable in size to the Milky Way. With a diameter of 170,000 light-years it is roughly equal the size of the Milky Way. It has a disk mass on the order of 100 billion solar masses. This image was taken a couple years ago at New Mexico Skies near Cloudcroft New Mexico with a Takahashi FRC 300 telescope.

The nebula is located nearby the star Deneb in the constellation Cygnus, and is adjacent to the familiar North America Nebula. It is about 2,000 light-years away. The light from young stars is heating gas within the nebula, resulting in an ionization front visible in bright orange on the right. This image was taken with a Takahashi TOA-150 telescope and an SBIG STT-8300 camera. Centaurus A is the fifth brightest galaxy in the sky making it an ideal target for amateur astronomers, and is famous for the dust lane across its middle. It resides in the constellation of Centaurus and is around 13 million light years from Earth. The galaxy has a very strange shape, which scientists think was caused by a large elliptical galaxy and a smaller spiral galaxy colliding a long time ago. There is a supermassive black hole at the center of Centaurus A which has the mass of 55 million​ ​suns like ours. By comparison, the back hole at the center of our own Milky Way has a mass of 4 million suns. The twisted shapes in the center are from the back hole emitting very powerful jets of energy made up of x-rays and radio waves. Centaurus A was one of the first places humans were ever able to detect radio waves coming from that was outside of Earth. Images totaled 4 hours and were taken through an SBIG ST-10 camera and Takahashi FRC-300 telescope.

The Cygnus wall is part of a larger emission nebula with a distinctive outline popularly called The North America Nebula. At a distance of 1500 light years away in the constellation Cygnus, the ridge spans 20 light years and is one of the highest concentrations of star formation in the region. This version used Sulfur II, Hydrogen Alpha, and Oxygen III narrowband filters to capture ionized gas from those specific elements. After the data was captured, the SII data was assigned to red, OIII to blue and SII to red in Photoshop. This configuration of elements to color is referred to as the “Hubble Palate.” 25 hours of total exposures were used to create this image with a Takahashi TOA-150 telescope and SBIG STT-8300 camera.

This image was taken just outside of Boulder, Colorado with a Takahashi FSQ-106 106mm F5 telescope. The California Nebula (NGC 1499) is a large emission nebula located in the constellation Perseus. It is 1500 light years distant, and spans approximately 100 light years in length. Its red fluorescence is primarily due to excitation of hydrogen atoms in the nebula by the nearby star Menkib, seen at the bottom of the nebula in this image. Images included 5 hours (15 images at 20 minutes) though an HA (Hydrogen) filter, 5 hours (15 at 20 minutes) through an OIII (Oxygen) and 2 hours (24 at 5 minutes) each through red, green and blue filters.

The Cave Nebula can be found within the constellation Cephius, and is some 2,400 light years away. This cloud of emission (red) and reflection (blue) nebula is a star forming region which spans some 35 light years across. The nebula gets its name from the dark lane abutting the brightest curve of emission nebulosity which gives the appearance of a deep cave when seen through a telescope visually. A total of 18 hours of exposures were used through HA (hydrogen narrowband), luminance, red green and blue filters. Capture was made with a Takahashi TOA-150 refractor.

This is a wide angle view of the Heart (IC1805) and Soul (IC1848) nebula located within the constellation Cassiopeia. They reside within the Perseus Arm of the Milky Way galaxy at a distance of 6000 and 6500 light years away respectively. The Heart (upper right) is named after its resemblance to the human heart. The Soul (lower left) has been associated with a small human body or embryo. The Heart and Soul stretch out 300 light-years across in an area that is is very active with star formations. Both nebula contain star clusters which have blown surrounding material into the red/orange colored bubbles. This image was taken through narrow band filters which pass a very small bandwidth of light emitted by ionized hydrogen (green), oxygen, (blue) and sulfur (red). Sadr, the brightest star within IC 1318 and in the upper left of the image, is the center of Northern Cross. The butterfly nebula to the left of Sadr is bisected by a long dark dust lane that separates the “wings”. The Crescent, an emission nebula lies to the lower right. The distance for IC 1318 and the Crescent nebula is estimated at 5,000 light years. This is an image captured through narrowband filters that capture the emission of ionized hydrogen (green), oxygen (blue) and Sulphur (red). A Takahashi TOA-150 telescope was used.

The Helix Nebula or NGC 7293, is a planetary nebula that can be located in the constellation Aquarius and sits at a distance of 650 light years. The white dot at the center of the Helix is the hot central star, which has ejected material as it reaches the final stages in its stellar evolution. The star's outer layers of material have expanded and cooled, creating a huge composition of dust and gas that spans two light years across. Radiation flowing from the dying star ionizes this gas, causing it to glow. This star is destined to become a white dwarf, a shrunken, super-dense object that can pack a sun's worth of material into a sphere the size of Earth. This image was taken with Takahashi TOA-150 and PlaneWave 400 telescopes, with 20 hours of HA and 4 hours each of red, green and blue data.

M81, or “Bode’s galaxy” is a spiral galaxy that lies 12 million light years away in the constellation Ursa Major. Along with M82, it forms one of the finest pairs of galaxies that can be viewed through small telescopes. The spiral arms wind all the way down into the nucleus and are made up of young, bluish, hot stars formed in the past few million years, while the central bulge contains older, redder stars. M81 was discovered by J.E. Bode of Berlin in 1774. I took the luminance data with a Takahashi FRC-300 near Cloudcroft New Mexico. The RGB color data was taken with a Takahashi TOA-150 in Boulder Colorado.

The spiral galaxy M81 at right, is strongly interacting with the galaxy M81 to the left, resulting in M82’s irregular shape The gravity from M81 has resulted violent star forming regions and colliding gas clouds so energetic the galaxy glows in X-rays. The pair lie 12 million light years from earth but only 150,000 light years from each other. What surrounds the galaxies is the integrated flux nebula, a reflection nebula of gas and dust not lit by a single star, but the light of the entire Milky Way Galaxy. The Elephant Trunk nebula is a concentration of dust and gas that lies in constellation Cepheus. It is part of a larger nebula, IC1396. This elongated dark globule is part of a region of star formation that lies 2,450 light-years away from earth. It is a region of dense gas that is being compressed by the intense radiation from a nearby massive star, which lies to the left outside of this image. The compression of the gas in the globule is triggering the formation of stars within it, some as young as 100,000 years old. This image was captured with a Takahashi TOA-150 refractor and through three filters that pass only 5nm of light from ionized hydrogen, oxygen and sulfur. Seven hours of images were taken through each of the three filters, with green assigned to hydrogen, blue to oxygen and red to sulfur.

The Pacman nebula, or NGC 281 is a star forming region that lies 10,000 light years away in the constellation Cassiopeia. The nebula is approximately 80 light years across. NGC 281 is an emission nebula which gets its color from elements that are excited by nearby stars. Image was taken with a Takahashi TOA-150 refractor. Each color represents a particular wavelength of light and hence a particular element in the gas cloud. In this image, hydrogen is mapped to green, oxygen blue and sulfur red.

This image features the Orion Nebula (M42) with the Running Man Nebula (NGC 1977, NGC 1975, and NGC 1973) sitting ½ degree northeast (above). M42 is a well-known, bright nebula in the constellation Orion that can be seen with the naked eye. It lies at a distance of 1,300 lights years, and is the closest region of massive star formation to earth. The Orion Nebula is an example of a stellar nursery where new stars are being born with approximately 700 stars in various stages of formation. The Running Man is a reflection nebula that lies 5,000 light-years from Earth and shines blue from the light of the young, not fully developed stars that scatter light more effective at the bluer end of the electromagnetic spectrum than the red. This scattering takes place when light streaming from the stars interacts with coarse grains of interstellar dust. NGC 1977 stretches above center, separated from NGC 1973 (below right) and NGC 1975 (below left) by darker regions of obscuring dust. This image totals nine hours of exposures through HA, red, green and blue filters using a Takahashi TOA-130 telescope and SBIG STL-1100 camera.

The Crab nebula, or messier designation M1, resides in the constellation Taurus and is a remnant of a super nova that occurred back in the year 1054. The super nova was witnessed and documented by Chinese astronomers. At the center of the nebula lies a neutron star 28–30 km across with a spin rate of 30 times per second. The Crab Nebula lies some 6,500 light years across, and spans 11 light years. This image was taken with a Takahashi MT-200 telescope for HA and RGB data, and with a remote GRAS observatory for the luminance data.

This is an image of the southwest arm of the Andromeda galaxy or M31. This galaxy lies at a distance of 2.5 million light years in the constellation Andromeda. Andromeda is the brightest and closest of all spiral galaxies. From sufficiently dark areas, it can be seen with the naked eye and can be easily viewed through binoculars. To think that one can walk outside, and have photons hit your pupils that left 2.5 million years ago never ceases to amaze me. Andromeda lies 220,000 light years across, and is estimated to contain from 200 to 400 billion stars. Where nearly all galaxies are racing away from earth due to cosmic expansion, Andromeda is moving towards us, and is targeted to collide with our own galaxy in 4.5 billion years. The southwest arm is of interest (well, they are both pretty interesting) because it contains NGC 206, the blue section (center of image). NGC 206 contains massive blue stars less than 10 million years old. To the lower left of the image can been scene a companion galaxy M32. The other arm also has a companion galaxy, M110.
